Since it was founded in a room above a pub in 1971, the Orange Tree has depended on the generosity of its loyal audiences and members to ensure the security of its future. So far this support has meant that not only could the theatre move to its own premises in 1991, but it has also acquired and transformed a former Bank Building into comfortable and productive workshop and rehearsal spaces.

With the Bank refurbishments now complete, the theatre’s fundraising is now focused on the productions and our vibrant community and education programme.
